IP Tools is an application designed to help users who want to analyze various protocols that are located within a given network. The tool is designed for network administrators that want to keep an eye on traffic and with the aid of the Raw Socket capabilities, they can do this with ease. The interface of the utility is quite simple and it mainly features a list view where the protocols that are scanned appear. Multiple columns can be toggled on or off, depending on the details that a user wants to see.
IP Tools features a bandwidth monitor in order for the admin to see how much of it is used in different instances. With the aid of the app, each IP that is connected through the network is filtered and its traffic is displayed in real time. There is also the possibility to send “WAKEUP” signals over the network to certain computers.
IP Tools also provides password management tools. With the aid of the app, passwords can be decrypted, if needed, but this applies to dial-up or Microsoft Access passwords. However, other asterisk revealer tools are available. MAC addresses can be changed with the aid of the app and all of them can be uncovered while using the tool.
