iZoom is an apt screen reader solution for those who are not completely deprived of the gift of vision. You need to be able to see albeit weakly if you have to use this software. The major drawback of this software is the fact that it has compatibility issues with most of the recent releases of most softwares. What is annoying is that Microsoft Office 2003 is the last Office version that is supported by this software. While Microsoft moved from 2007 to 2010 over the years, the development team of iZoom never kept pace with them.
The software is not compatible with Mozilla Firefox. The software is not compatible with any email application software like Outlook. What it brings to the table is the feature of alerting the user when their mouse button hovers over the close button or the minimize or maximize/restore buttons. It also reads out the text your mouse is hovering on.
Compatibility continues to be its problem as it is incompatible with Braille output devices. Though there exists a screen zoom option, it slows down your processing speed significantly. The help and support options are sufficient though. Hence, although iZoom has minor issues, it still manages to perform its job quite well. This makes it a software worth some consideration.
