Parental Lock Guard is an extensive application ideal for determining and monitoring your children’s safe activity on the computer or the internet. It severely supervises and controls the children’s online activity, leaving no scope of the internet being totally at their disposal.
For the benefit of the parents, the settings of this application are a little complex, letting it to be quite unmanageable for children. You will have to reboot the machine before you start using Parental Lock Guard, and it uses rebooting the computer as its most potent measure for blocking inappropriate children activity. The application enables the parents to restrict the amount of time that the children can use per day. They can set up this time-limit or usage rules once per day, after which time the application will automatically turn off the computer. If the children want to restart it thereafter, they will need to give a password within 15 seconds, failing to do which the machine will again shut down. Without the administrator-given password the application can in no way be stopped, for there is no close button, ‘X’ symbol or other software utility to stop it. You can also obscure the Task Manager in order to make it unblockable for your little computer geniuses.
Detailed report of the visited websites is prepared and if an inappropriate website is approached it is promptly blocked. Access to certain files, folders and applications can also be locked down. Any disobedience of these rules will end up with the PC shut down. All these make Parental Lock Guard an apt choice for severe and careful parents
