A powerful monitoring tool, Process Explorer is meant to list up the applications running on your Windows system along with information about open files and running processes. The great thing about the tool is that it shows the list in a tree structure and everything is shown in a dual pane window. The top panel lists up the current apps while the bottom one provides detailed info on the selected process. You get the option to close individual app, change the process priority for any running process, view any process’ properties. The properties show up how much space and memory is being taken up by each process.
Using this app, it is also possible to find any specific system information. This may include a detailed summary of what is going on in your system currently, graphs and statistics of the memory, CPU, input, output, etc. The program, being able to list the DLL files for the system, it stands useful trying to locate functions specific errors. One can even filter the results to display memory mapped files and DLLs.
