Zone Alarm Extreme Security 2013 is a mega-suite security software. It can fix registry errors with its PC tune up function. It has come a long way in the domain of spam filtering with innovative options and features. Even the parental controls are highly advanced in nature. It offers a firewall that averts direct attacks on the system.
The software comes with a lot of drawbacks. Firstly, the user has to cough up extra cash for the advanced PC tune up features. Secondly, PC tune up runs only in administrator mode. When an user logs in through other accounts, the tune up does not produce any visible results and does not inform the user of the same either. Thirdly, the software fails to detect the presence of a keylogger in the system. Fourthly, parental controls do not work from a remote environment. Fifthly, phishing is hardly controlled by this software. The antivirus program fails to match up with its peers as well. Sixthly, the firewall is ineffective in handling exploit attacks. Seventhly, the system on which it runs becomes painfully slow especially during the booting process. And lastly, the software is a major disappointment even when compared to its predecessor.
Overall it is terrible fall from grace compared to its earlier versions. Its demerits outweigh its benefits and there are far better options out in the market to choose from.
